Humanitarian Service and Education           2015

The Consortium for Humanitarian Service and Education (CHSE) provides intensive hands-on learning opportunities for students and practitioners of international humanitarian response to learn how to conduct safe and effective relief operations.

The Consortium is an award-winning collaborative effort of academic, government, and non-governmental organizations in the United States and Europe that develops curriculum and organizes annual training events.

FTX Atlantic Hope is a civilian-designed and civilian-led field training exercise that recreates the challenges and conditions humanitarian operators encounter in the real world.

Past participants have included students and practitioners in emergency management, humanitarian assistance, post-conflict reconstruction, conflict transformation and peace-building, psychology, criminal justice, geography and political science.
