ABOUT THE CONSORTIUM
The Consortium for Humanitarian Service and Education began as a collaborative effort organized by the Center for Disaster Relief and Humanitarian Assistance at Indian River State College, Northwest Missouri State University, the Institute of Peace and Defense Studies (Macedonia), and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Macedonia.
The objective of this international effort is to promote the practical education and training of international disaster relief workers, reconstruction/post-conflict specialists, peace-builders and humanitarian practitioners.
The Consortium seeks to develop multi-culturally competent problem-solving leaders committed to humanitarian ideals and selfless service to the global community.
JOIN THE CONSORTIUM
The Consortium requires three committments from each member:
1. To promote the awareness of this program among students and practioners who would benefit from field training experience.
2. To provide suggestions and guidance for improving training content and standards.
3. To help develop curriculum by contributing to common training materials.
There is no financial requirement for joining the Consortium.
