Humanitarian Conference
Humanitarian Conference
January 2011
Each year the Consortium offers students, faculty, practitioners and researchers an opportunity to share their findings and perspectives on a wide range of topics of interest to the humanitarian community over a two-day period on the Fort Pierce campus of Indian River State College.
Participants are invited to arrive on Friday January 14 and attend a reception that evening, review the 2011 Consortium training curriculum on Saturday morning and present on their topics on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
Presentation and paper topics can include humanitarian training, teaching humanitarian studies, current practices in the humanitarian community, social science perspectives on humanitarianism or humanitarian action, IHL, civil-military relations, and recent lessons-learnt. Presentations are conducted in an informal context and work-in-progress as well as finished papers and presentations are welcome.
If you would like to present at the 2011 conference, please contact Dr. Paul Forage at pforage@irsc.edu.
